Yoga For All Woking offers regular weekly classes in Woking, Pyrford, Westfield and Byfleet. Whether you have practiced yoga for many years or you are a complete beginner, all levels of ability, age and fitness are welcome. Yoga is non-competitive; everyone practices to his or her own level. Yoga allows us to let go and to rediscover that missing sense of inner peace and calm - a time to ‘just be’ . The classes provide a wonderful respite from the daily pressures of modern life.
The Teacher and Founder of Yoga For All Woking, Glenn Johnson, studied for two and a half years with the "Chekira Wholistic Trust" and is fully trained and insured to teach all aspects of Comprehensive Yoga. He is accredited by "Yoga Alliance Professionals” as a “Senior Yoga Teacher”. Teachers at this level are qualified to teach regular yoga classes, workshops, retreats/festivals. They may also teach further training for teachers, specialist courses (pregnancy, kids, meditation, teens, sports, Thai & Ayurvedic massage) and Teacher Training Courses.
Chekira trained yoga teachers are taught to acknowledge and celebrate ALL aspects and philosophies of yoga and not to be bound by rigid interpretations, offering a freedom to provide yoga which is suitable for the needs of each and every individual and to adapt the classes accordingly. The teacher pays great attention to each persons individual needs and physical limitations, so props are used to assist in the poses called ‘Asanas’ Beginners use blocks, yoga belts, bolsters and even the wall. Glenn encourages his students to be aware of their own needs and to work appropriately.
